Occupational
therapy encompasses most purposeful and daily living activities. Our
program provides a comprehensive concentration on upper extremities and
hand therapy, including splinting. Complete home assessment is available.
Occupational Therapy is provided on an inpatient
and outpatient basis. The inpatient therapists assist patients to
become more independent in their daily tasks after injury or surgery.
Our specialized outpatient programs include treatment of lymphedema and
a functional capacity assessment for the injured worker—also part
of our industrial rehabilitation program.
A few of the treatment
diagnoses include: cerebral vascular accident (CVA or stroke), congestive
heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),
heart surgery, orthopedic problems, cancer and general weakness.
